Hostess i intelligent multiport controller is designed for high-performance asynchronous and synchronous serial communications systems.It has an onboard 12.5 MHz processor and 128K DRAM that can be upgradedto 512K or 2 MB. Up to 16 users can be connected through a single PCexpansion slot. Users can be increased by installing up to fourcontrollers to the system.Hostess i can be configured to support two full-duplex synchronous portswith speeds up to 1.10 Mbps. Device drivers feature transparent print andmultiple sessions, and are available at no charge. Interfaces include RS-232, RS-422, or RS-485 with DB9, DB25, or RJ45 connectors. Hostess i isbacked by a 30-day trial, a five-year warranty, and lifetime support.
